These are the guiding principles behind Ray and Yana’s vision for Rayana Coffees™. By forging lasting relationships with the Indonesian farmers in the states of Java and Sumatra, Ray and Yana have embarked on a journey toward sustainable agriculture, pledging to protect the delicate ecosystems that nurture these extraordinary beans. Seedlings are provided to farmers with hands-on support and strict quality measures to ensure consistently high-quality beans. Our farmers receive education, guidance, regular quality control inspections, and hands-on training for advanced cultivating techniques.
Diverse Varieties & Specialty Coffee Focus: Produce a wide range of coffee, including exotic varieties such as Yellow Katura, Linnaeus S795, and Japanese Typica. New disease-resistant varieties like Andung Sari are being introduced. Only the highest-grade cherries are selected for specialty production, ensuring premium quality beans. Advanced processing methods include anaerobic and lactic fermentation, African beds, and dome dryers to create distinct flavors in every batch.
Rayana Coffees™ works with local coffee-growing communities to invest in education, healthcare, and infrastructural development and ensure their partnership’s benefits extend far beyond the growing fields. Our farms are committed to sustainability, introducing climate-resistant varieties and adapting our processes to environmental challenges. These efforts not only ensure exceptional coffees are recognized globally through high rankings in the Cup of Excellence (COE) competition. They contribute to local community development by boosting the economy and preventing deforestation. Our farm collective supports over 100 family-based farms and cultivates over 150 hectares of land.
Our production is expanding to reach 1,000 tons within the next 5–6 years to meet growing global demand. By carefully hand-picking and sorting processes, we ensure the highest quality while supporting local communities and generating income for local farmers.
